Tread Lightly Caravan was at Rosebank School

On Thursday 21 March the Tread Lightly Caravan was at Rosebank School. Room 28 had hands on experience learning about Sustainability. We thought Tread Lightly Caravan was stimulating and worthwhile. We learnt about how we an impact on the environment and went away with lots of ideas on how we could take positive actions to prevent waste and protect the environment.

Activities we participated in were:

·         Environmental Footprint: we learnt about the impact our actions have on the environment.

·         Power Bike: we powered appliances by pedalling.

·         E Waste: we learnt about the importance of recycling electronic devices like computers and mobile phones.

·         Geckos and Vines: was a game that involved answering questions about the environment.

·         Video Microscope: we looked at specimens to help us see the beauty of nature.
