Today Room 28 learnt about the Three R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.  We learnt about the recycling symbol and what it means.   The class learnt that recycling is actually the third step in reducing waste.   The three Rs: Reduce Reuse and the Recycle.   The three R's are in order of importance, so reduce is the most important step!

  • Reduce means to use less.
  • Reuse means using something as many times as you can.
  • Recycle means to dispose of certain products.

We talked about how we can recycle at home.   Discussed the recycle vocabulary words and encouraged each other to use the new words this week in class. We had to design a poster for our school to motivate children to recycle.

Learning Outcomes
  • Students will be able to identify basic vocabulary words related to recycling
  • Students will understand the advantages and the importance of recycling
